In February 2012 Tiny Toones bids farewell to the Stop Bokor Centre and its graffiti-covered walls and moves a short tuk-tuk ride east to a new home in Chba Ampov. With more class rooms, an indoor dance floor to combat monsoons and new office space, Tiny Toones is now right in the heart of one of Phnom Penh’s poorest neighbourhoods and ready for the year ahead.
Tiny Toones has attracted the attention of the hip-hop community and we featured in a Hip-Hop DX article, read it in full here.
The Phnom Penh Post have reported on our trip to Australia here.
Prior to our tour in Australia, The Age published the following article on Tiny Toones.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Tiny Toones was invited to perform at the first TEDx Phnom Penh event. Diamond, Homie, Fresh, Kha, Flex, Slick, Flip, Jacky, Ya, Beaver, Manner, Short and Romi were FANTASTIC! Such powerful 18 minutes! “Dance your life around”- definitely the Idea Worth Spreading!
